Pastor Arnita M. Traylor

Reverend Arnita M.Traylor, accepted the call to the ministry in1993 and was ordained Itinerant Deacon in 1996 and Elder in 1998 by The Right Reverend Robert Thomas Jr., in the 4th. Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, at St. Stephen AME Church in Detroit, MI under Dr. Harold C. Huggins' Pastoral & Spiritual mentoring. Upon ordination, Reverend Traylor was given a charge in the "Climbing" Canadian Conference at Price Memorial in Windsor, Ontario (1998-2007). In August 2007, Rev. Traylor received the charge of Campbell AME in Chatham, Ontario.
In August 2008, Rev. Traylor returned to the Michigan Conference where Bishop John R. Bryant, Senior Bishop of the AME Church, appointed her to Vinson Chapel in Clinton Township, Michigan. In October 2015, Rev. Traylor was given the charge of St. John AME in River Rouge, Michigan where she currently serves as Pastor. She is the First Female Pastor in the 100 year history of its existence. Rev. Traylor is also the First Female Pastor to be Elected to the Office of Vice President, of The Downriver Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance (DIMA). February 17, 2019 was Pastor Traylor's 26th. year in Ministry and August 16, 2019 was Pastor Traylor's 21st. year of Pastoral Service! |
